The sky was a dark blue, rain pattering against the window panes.
Jiang Huai got up and went to Chu Xianning’s room, knocking gently on the door. As expected, Chu Xianning was not there. Master must have gone to the secret chamber at the base of the mountain, and Jiang Huai dared not guess what she was doing.
He simply prepared a loving breakfast in the courtyard, then took the food box to Wen Wanwan’s courtyard.

“You’re up so early?”
“Sister is teaching me swordplay,” Wen Fufu’s eyes sparkled.
