In the early morning, the mountain rain was misty.
Jiang Huai knew that Chu Xianning was going to the secret chamber at the bottom of the mountain today, so he didn’t get up for breakfast. Although he was the one who couldn’t fast, if he had to eat alone, he would rather not bother and just have some dry food.

“Alright, Master isn’t here today, so I’ll teach you sword practice later. I want to sleep a bit more,” Jiang Huai said as he sat up in bed, looking at Wen Wanwan’s cheeks.

Before he could finish his sentence, Wen Wanwan had already closed her umbrella and sat down beside the bed. She bent over to slip off her transparent, peep-toe high heels. As Jiang Huai lifted the blanket, Wen Wanwan burrowed in like a kitten seeking warmth, snuggling into Jiang Huai’s embrace.
“It’s so cold outside, but it’s warm in bed,” Wen Wanwan moved closer to Jiang Huai, who gently held her snow-white little hand that was slightly cold. Soon, her hand warmed up in his, and Wen Wanwan’s cheeks drew near, looking into Jiang Huai’s eyes.
“My lips are cold too.”
