Chapter 59: That’s too much
When Luo Yueguan saw Jiang Huai, he was in the garden pruning the branches of the roses.
“What flower is this?” Luo Yueguan looked at the pure white roses, somewhat lost in thought.
She had lived for so many years and had never seen them before.
“Rose. It’s not a spiritual flower, just used as an ingredient for brewing Roselle tea,” Jiang Huai explained slowly as he cut a small branch for Luo Yueguan, who approached him, bending slightly to take in the fragrance of the flowers.
Jiang Huai stood by her side. Her purple dress clung to her beautiful body, and as she bent over, the curve of her waist and hips was fully exposed. It was tantalizing.
Strange, it wasn’t supposed to be tantalizing. Maybe it was just because he had seen Luo Yueguan in revealing clothes so many times that his mind filled in the blanks, making it tantalizing.
Jiang Huai averted his gaze and heard Luo Yueguan ask softly, “Can you give me one?”
“Shall I give you a whole bush to take home and grow it yourself?”
“So generous?”
“They’re not worth much anyway.”
Jiang Huai selected a clump of roses, pulled them out by the roots, and even found a pot for Luo Yueguan.
