Chapter 53: Secrets
The wind rose in the middle of the night, and clouds obscured the moon.
The bath was full of ripples.
Luo Yueguan had never imagined that one day she would be in a bath with a man, wiping his body.
Jiang Huai was lifted out of the water by her. She wore only a light purple garment, and her skin inevitably touched his. She suddenly felt an inexplicable unease and hurriedly carried Jiang Huai back to bed, covering him with a blanket.
Jiang Huai’s face in his deep sleep was slightly pale. Luo Yueguan sat by the bed, gazing at his cheeks.
Chu Xianning was indeed fortunate.
Luo Yueguan sat by the bed for a long time before she stood up, gently closed the door, and returned to Luo Qingyu’s room.
Luo Qingyu was curled up under the covers. Seeing Luo Yueguan return, she quickly threw off the blanket, her voice sweet.
“Mother, come quickly, the bed is all warm.”
Luo Yueguan was startled, then chuckled and hurried into the bed. The bed was very warm. She hesitated for a while before gently pulling Luo Qingyu into her arms. Luo Qingyu snuggled up like an obedient kitten.
Luo Yueguan was not used to holding someone like this. She had hardly ever held Luo Qingyu since she was a child.
