"Wang Xue? What a nice name; it seems like it must have been snowing when you were born."
Qin Jun said with a smile, even deliberately flicking his hair near his ear to reveal more of his handsome face.
A twitch formed at the corner of Wang Xue’s mouth; although the young noble before her was as handsome as a painting, why did his smile and his words feel so... punchable?
"Thank you all for rescuing me. As for anything else, I won’t trouble you further," Wang Xue said with a bow. Considering the Cat People were harmed by cultivators of the Human Clan, how could she possibly trust Qin Jun and his companions easily?
Nine hurried over, pulling on her hand and shaking it, but ended up cowering under her glare.
Qin Jun found this amusing and said with a laugh, "I am willing to save not just you, but the entire Cat People Clan."
As soon as he said this, all the Cat People were astounded, and the younger ones looked at Qin Jun with curiosity.
Far from being thrilled, Wang Xue was even more guarded; manna doesn’t fall from heaven. Qin Jun’s willingness to help the Cat People Clan clearly had ulterior motives, and they targeted the entire clan, at that.
As she hesitated on how to drive away Qin Jun and his three companions, Old Man Yi, while wiping sweat and cursing under his breath, said, "You’re on the brink of annihilation, and you’re still hesitating? We managed to break through your formation, so we could easily kill you. If we harbored ill will, why would we bother talking with you?"
Qin Jun rolled his eyes. Couldn’t he be a bit more amiable?
Lei Zhenzi and Yuan Hong, on the other hand, quite agreed with Old Man Yi’s approach. After all, they couldn’t hear any system notification tone, didn’t trigger any side quest, and thus didn’t see the Cat People Clan as much of an issue.
