Chapter 366: Entering the Crystal

Elin pulled the crystal pendant out of where she'd stashed it. She then turned it so she could see the girl that was her. She wasn't sure what she expected to either happen or to be able to do, but she still was determined to figure out what it would take to get that girl out of the pendant.

She knew there had to be a way. That it wasn't a hopeless cause. It was just that looking at it was all that she was able to actually figure out to do.

She reached out and tried pushing her finger into it, but that merely pushed the pendant away, like it would any other pendant.

She shook the pendant, as if something might fall out. Though, even the girl inside the pendant didn't notice her world shaking as the crystal was shaken.

That was the extent that Elin was able to think to try. She wasn't sure what else there was that she could do.

However, a moment later, as the sun shifted position, it changed to where a small beam of light shone through the crystal. It created a shadow on the ground that looked larger than the crystal itself, despite how the other shadows were cast. A shadow that was also aqua-green in color.

Elin wasn't sure if her next idea would work or what she'd do if there was something that could be done, but she quickly positioned herself under that light. Under the crystal.

Part of her felt an excitement that she hadn't felt in the memories she had, but part of her felt rather nervous. As if she was about to meet her father to explain how she ended up going out of his house with no idea how it had happened in the first place.

Elin looked for a place to hang it on a tree so she wouldn't have to be always holding it for what was coming to her mind to try. As she wasn't sure if that would make a difference or not, but she didn't want to take chances.
