Chapter 289: Discussing Elysia Violet

Jonas wasn't really sure what to expect when Kim and Elin returned from their 'disagreement' a distance away from the camp. He couldn't be sure if they thought they'd gone far enough away that the rest of them wouldn't be able to overhear their 'disagreement,' but with how quiet the nights were in these mountains, sound carried. Which meant that unless they had a conversation going on of their own, they could hear every word Kim and Elin shot at each other.

So, when they returned, Jonas couldn't say that he was surprised when they went their separate ways and didn't end up in the same bed together. Although, he couldn't help but wonder if that might have an overall effect on their group, since Kim and Elin had been an items almost since they first teamed up at the start of the competition.

Still, he didn't feel like trying to intervene in any way. Even if it was in a peripheral manner. If he did, he was confident that he'd end up getting pulled in a direction he'd rather not deal with right then. Not to mention what he'd rather be putting his energy into.

When Kim came back, Jonas was a little uneasy that she might join the rest of them around the campfire, given what Elin had mentioned about her walk to those who'd stayed behind.

Namely, the person she'd encountered singing. Elysia Violet.

Since Elin hadn't mentioned this stranger, Jonas didn't think it would go over too well if Kim learned about her from anyone other than Elin. While he was confident nothing had happened, they way that Kim was acting made him wary about how she might react overall to anything involving Elin at the moment. Especially when it came to something that happened while she was on her walk.

"You're saying she didn't say anything else about this person?" Elwin asked, looking like he had the same worries about Kim as Jonas did with how he waited until Kim had settled down on the other side of the camp from Elin.

Patricia shook her head. "No, she just said that she had been singing beautifully, but ran before she could say anything."

"Let me guess, she at least had time to say her name, but Elin didn't consider that 'saying' anything, right?" Owen asked, amusement clear in his voice.
