Chapter 189: Stay or Move on?

Elmo slowly shuffled his way back to the room that he was staying in. even though the king had offered all of them a suite of rooms, Elmo, Kim, and Jonas had been quick to decline, although it was clear that Elin wanted to accept, but in the face of the others in their group declining, Elmo suspected that she felt pressured to refuse as well.

Although, he couldn't help but wonder if that might have been a mistake on his part. He really didn't know where the suite of rooms would be as opposed to the rooms they'd been given for their stay, but where those rooms were located wasn't anywhere close to where they spent their days training and ubilding their skills and spells.

As such, when he was done, Elmo always spent a long time getting back to his room. While he didn't do much in the ways of the unarmed combat training with Kim, or at least he hadn't for a week or two, he still used his MP Charlge to restore his MP enough so he could master his spells. Which he was surprised to see how much he'd been able to progress with it.

Elmo had also been surprised at how many were considering themselves Kim's army or guard, or whtever. While Elmo hadn't been able ot figure out what exactly they'd been calling themselves, he recognized that Kim would just as soon as have them leave as to give them orders.

From what Elmo could tell, most of them had been with her the night that they'd been able to stop the assassination attempt on the king. Which indicated that there were still effects f that night that they were still feeling, even if it wasn't the same as the fatigue or exhaustion from then.

When he finally made it to the room he had as his own for the time being, he was about to enter it, when Jonas appeared from out of nowhere and merely ruffled Elmo's hair.

What that was about, he couldn't say. All he knew was that he was finding it rather weird, but not exactly altogether unpleasant. Though, it would be nice to know what that was about.

Sighing, he stepped into his room, not really sure if he was going to try and get some sleep or just sit in there and let time pass by. With how tired he felt, eitehr option was pretty much an equal possibility. Especially since there were times when he'd try to go to sleep only to just remain awake, not having the energy to do anything else, while other times he'd just try to stay awake and think of other things and find out later that he'd drifted off to sleep without even realizing it.

Not that knowing that really helped him out anyway.

Elmo walked over to his bed and lay on it, afternoon light shining through the narrow window about midway through the room. Showing just how spartan the room was. All he had in the room was the bed and maybe a few pieces of furniture that he hadn't really even paid any attention to, let alone thought to use at any point.

As he stood over his bed, he was left with trying to get his sluggish brain to work an ddecide what he was going to try and do this time: attempt to sleep or just sit and let his mind wander?
