Chapter 111: Abundance of Options
Elin wasn't happy when Kim moved to get up. She was comfortable against the older woman and didn't want to move. The fight had worn her out and if she was home, she'd have insisted in staying in bed. Maybe even all day.
Yet, her pillow was part of Kim, so when Kim decided to get up, Elin lost her pillow. Not only that, but Kim's warmth really helped keep Elin comfortable, despite their surroundings. She couldn't help but wonder what her life would have been like if Kim hadn't chosen to approach her first.
Of course, she also wondered when they could get some privacy with just the two of them again. This may only continue until they were able to get back to their own worlds, but that didn't mean she didn't want to lose a single opportunity to be with Kim that way. Especially since she couldn't say if that would be acceptable in her world. Or at least one of her station.
What had Kim get up was when Jonas brought over the armor that the hobgoblin had worn. It still was covered in the hobgoblin's blood and gore, but otherwise it looked fine. However, while Elin really didn't want to touch it until it had been washed, when Kim asked her if she'd help, she couldn't think of why to refuse.
Though, Elin didn't realize Kim had planned on taking the armor so far away from where they'd been. Kim carried the heavier pieces while Elin merely carried the pieces for the arms and legs, but it was still rather heavy. Either that or she still needed to get more rest.
When Kim stopped, Elin was surprised that she recognized the corridor they were in. It was where they'd launched the attack on the goblins the first time, when they were rescuing Heather and Sonya. In fact, where Kim was standing as she was starting to remove her leather armor was where Jonas had put the two girls after he'd saved them before he'd passed out.
It took Elin a moment to realize what Kim was doing. Maybe she was still half asleep, but it wasn't until Kim was topless that she realized Kim was taking both the armor and her clothing offf. At which point, Elin's eyes just drank up what she saw before her.
"Now I know how to get you up in the morning," Kim teased, making Elin blush, which in turn made Kim laugh.
Elin turned to walk away, more out of embarrassment than because she didn't think Kim wanted her there, but stopped when Kim grabbed ahold of her hand. "Don't go, my gem. You're just so cute when you blush," Kim said, gently pulling Elin towards her. "What do you say that we take our time with me changing into the armor?"
Elin knew she definitely was still very tired because it took her a few minutes of staring at Kim before what she was suggesting finally dawned on her. Elin smiled, looking downwards for a moment before looking at Kim through her lashes.
"I'd like that," was all she could think of saying. Then as she was kicking herself mentally for not being able to say something better, she yelped in surprise as Kim picked her up completely and they began doing what Elin had wanted to do again for a while.
