Chapter 117: Exposed
Standing to the side, Redfield seemed to catch on to Stussy’s internal struggle, the corners of his lips curling up. That damn Captain Brook sure knew how to mess with people.
Even young Fisher Tiger was proving to be an interesting character. His words had nearly shattered the composure of this golden-haired little spy.
"Is this enough? Did you get the hang of it? Go on, curse them properly. Pass Captain Brook’s test, and you’ll officially be one of us. Every single member of the Hell Pirates despises the Celestial Dragons—we kill them on sight!"
Tiger’s voice was filled with the warmth of a veteran guiding a rookie. Even though he was younger than Stussy, he had been part of the crew far longer.
"I..."
Stussy was still dazed. Even Shakky had called this a simple test. If Brook had arranged it, there had to be a reason. Shakky’s expectant, encouraging gaze made Stussy hesitate.
Never in her training as a spy had she been taught that she’d need to curse her own masters ten times. She had always considered herself experienced, yet at this moment, she felt like a greenhorn agent completely out of her depth.
But if she refused now, her cover would be blown, and she’d be surrounded by the Hell Pirates. Escape would be impossible—today would be her death. She had no choice but to go along with it. She would curse the Celestial Dragons for now, then eliminate every last pirate here later. No witnesses, no problem. That way, her insult to the Celestial Dragons would die with them, and she wouldn’t be punished—or worse, executed—by her masters.
With that resolve, Stussy’s eyes flashed with a murderous glint toward everyone on board.
