And it wasn't used on the revived Sasori or Deidara, but on Ōnoki!

The reason was simple.

Because Kotoamatsukami could only be used once in a short period, Danzo wasn't sure if this illusion could completely control the spiritual control of Edo Tensei.

So, to be safe, it was better to use it on Ōnoki.

As long as he could control Ōnoki and force him to fight to the death to hold back the enemies, Danzo could escape safely.
