Chapter 367: The Genius
"Go on, set a good example for your younger brother. There are plenty of younger siblings enrolling today, so don't let them down," Kawakaze said, taking a sip of milk before turning his focus back to finishing his rice.
"Brother, you're the best," Ginji exclaimed with a broad smile, his tone overly enthusiastic. "You'll shine on the stage when the time comes. I can point to you and tell everyone, 'This is my brother.' Let them all be envious." As he spoke, he pushed a shumai into Kakashi's bowl, grinning ear to ear.
"Well, okay then," Kakashi replied after a brief hesitation. How could he disappoint his younger brother?
"That's the spirit!" Sakumo said, his smile returning. "Have you finished preparing your speech?"
Kakashi awkwardly rubbed his nose. "Not yet. I'll let Kurenai help me figure it out later." He wasn't enthusiastic about this kind of showy event. That sort of thing was more suited to someone like Guy, though unfortunately, Guy wasn't qualified enough yet.
"You, you just know how to trouble Kurenai," Nayuki finally interjected with a slightly teasing tone. "Sending a young girl to help you? Aren't you embarrassed?"
"Auntie, you're wrong," Ginji chimed in, his mischievous nature shining through. "What girl? That's my sister-in-law!" His cheeky comment drew laughter from everyone at the table.
"Eat your food," Kakashi said, his face flushing slightly as he stuffed a bun into Ginji's mouth to silence him.
"I was telling the truth," Ginji protested after removing the bun, taking a big bite and chewing with a satisfied grin.
"It's the truth, it's the truth," he repeated between bites.
"Eat up, it's almost time," Kawakaze said, finishing his last bun in three quick bites. He wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood up.
