Chapter 207: Hokage Rock
Early the next morning.
Tsunade, dressed in her Hokage robe, was enjoying breakfast at home when Kawakaze approached her with a request to attend the inauguration ceremony together.
"Sis, since you're going to be Hokage. Can I join the Anbu?" Nawaki asked, his eyes brimming with hope as he made his request.
Tsunade frowned slightly. "Anbu? Have you thought about it?" she asked, her tone serious. Though she wasn't entirely against the idea—Nawaki had grown strong and had even been to war—her subconscious bias and concern for her younger brother held her back.
"I still need to grow," Nawaki replied firmly. He felt his progress had stalled without real combat experience. His sparring matches with Minato often ended in defeat because Minato kept using the Flying Thunder God Technique after secretly marking him.
Nearby, Mito listened quietly to the siblings' conversation. The children had grown, and it was only natural for them to start forming their own ideas.
"Okay, I promise," Tsunade finally said. "I'll make you a squad leader." While appointing him as Anbu chief would be too much, making him a squad leader was a decision she could handle easily.
"Sis, I knew you'd be the best!" Nawaki beamed with happiness, his grin stretching almost ear to ear.
"What about me? What about me?" Kushina interjected, pointing at herself eagerly.
"Go mind your own business," Tsunade replied with a casual glance before continuing her meal. Kushina, after all, hadn't even graduated yet. Even if she did, she'd only be a Genin—what could she possibly do?
"Pfft~" Misaki burst into laughter at Tsunade's blunt response.
