Chapter 66: Reunion
"You join the fight too," Rohan growled at the boy.
Damien felt a cold chill run down his spine. Sure he’d wished he had Alicia’s guts not too long ago, but he couldn’t fight a whole adult vampire just yet. He couldn’t retract his fangs yet for goodness’ sake. He had so much to learn before he could start accepting challenges from other Gibbits—especially Gibforge staff.
Footsteps echoed from one of the corridors along with a loud exhausted sigh before Alicia gently placed her hand on Damien’s free shoulder and yanked Rohan’s hand from the other.
"Are you insulting my skills, old man?" She asked, the deadly look back in her eyes as she glared at Rohan.
Without saying a word, the caretaker backed away from Damien, but something in his eyes as he watched Damien get dragged away by Alicia told the boy he wouldn’t let go of their conversation just yet.
Soon they arrived in their dorm—a large room about two or three living rooms in size with two staircases on each side of it that led in opposite directions towards the rooms facing each other. It had couches, desks, and chairs, a large oblong television set, a red carpet—basically anything one would expect in a normal living room, even heaters.
"Ugh, I’m high on lack of sleep," Alicia groaned, walking towards the large tables placed next to yet another large door facing the entrance.
The girl lazily slapped her hand on the countertop, sliding her hand on it until she reached a paper and grabbed it before dragging it to her face as if it were heavy. Squinting her eyes at the small letter written on it, Alicia mumbled something inaudible all whilst the four new students in her care stood rooted by the door waiting for her to finish whatever she was doing.
"Ah! Thank goodness they share the same rooms. Donald, you lead the boys to their room and I lead the girls," she commanded, yawning for the tenth time now as she told the girls to follow her to one end of the room before passing Donald the note in her hands.
