Descendants of Gibbous

Chapter 64: Gibforge academy

Finally after carefully avoiding any suspicious conversation and eating his meal in silence—there were so many of them the fairy brought him but the ones he still remembered were the Indian tandoori chicken, the Som Tam, the Bulgogi, and the Peking duck. He remembered them mostly because Ambrose wouldn’t shut up about how delicious they were.

The fairies had long cleared their plates by now and Damien didn’t know what time it was, but his eyes were now heavy with sleep already—probably because he’d just stuffed himself full with food he could only dream of eating.

At last, everyone had finished eating, and old man Twiller stood to his feet again. The hall immediately went silent.

"I’m assuming everyone is now full and ready to pay attention to my words—especially the first years," he announced, his voice echoing in the circular hall, even to the back seats.

"New students should take note to follow the rules set by their house teachers in every dormitory. Failure to adhere to these instructions once found out will lead to punishment."

Damien swallowed.

"Bullying of any kind is not tolerated at Gibforge! However, if students have a dispute they think needs fists to be settled, the school hosts sparing battles or duels every weekend and is open to having the students sign up for a fight. However, first years should take note that accepting a challenge from a fellow first year and failing to win the fight will lead to them getting expelled—so please take note to avoid duels unless you know you can win."

’The hell?!’ Damien scrunched his brows at the old man as he continued his speech.

"Gibforge is an impartial academy. When you’re here, you’re all equal. We don’t care whether you’re royalty or not, whether your parents are business moguls or celebrity heroes, or in general—Gibforge will treat every student in an equal manner," Twiller paused, his blue eyes scanning over the students.
