Chapter 167: Leader Is Terrifying

After ordering food and drinks, the new recruits headed to the outdoor sections to meet Kairos and the others.

"Haha." Elian laughed when he saw their expressions. "How is it? Did you enjoy your spar with leader?"

"You didn’t wet yourself, right?" Adrian joined in teasing them.

The new recruits collapsed onto a long wooden bench opposite them. A heavy sigh escaped from their mouths as if the fight had drained their souls.

"Leader is so terrifying!" Raul’s hands trembled as cold sweat dripped down his forehead.

Just the memory of their spar sent shivers down his spine because, at that moment, facing Ren had been like standing before the grim reaper himself.

"That’s right." Daven added, "I felt like death was approaching me when we were sparring with leader."

"I told you to drop the idea, but you wouldn’t listen." Kairos had seen this coming, so he was not surprised. "Well, at least, you now know how amazing our leader is."

"Yeah! It’s worth it!" Despite experiencing great terror, Raul didn’t regret sparring with Ren because he could witness his power firsthand. "I suddenly can’t wait to see what the future holds for us."

"If we can grow stronger alongside our leader, I’m sure he will take us to a place that all awakeners dream of." They were his subordinates now, so Dan believed that as long as they weren’t burdens, Ren would take them to the main continent.

"A place that all awakeners dream of?" the image of a grand and prestigious continent surfaced in the brown-haired woman’s mind.
