Chapter 120: Memory Fragments
Right after his system lifted one of the seals, memory fragments flashed past like projections on the slideshow.
In the fragments of his memory, he saw his father carrying him and being chased by some powerful non-human creatures.
He could not tell who they were or what race they belonged to because their faces were shrouded in shadows.
"You, lowly human! How dare you trick our princess and taint her purity!" The leader of the group roared angrily.
"I didn’t trick her. We love each other." Ren’s father answered as he kept trying to escape from them.
Even though he was powerful, he didn’t fight them because it would endanger his son.
"Love each other? Don’t make me laugh, human! You must have used dirty methods, right?" the leader sneered. "You must have known beforehand who our princess was and proceeded to deceive her for your own benefit. Just admit it, human!"
"I didn’t know who she was before we fell in love. Our marriage was built purely on love, not ulterior motives." Ren’s father denied their accusations firmly.
When he met his wife, he really had no idea who she was.
At that time, she was heavily injured and unconscious near his home. As he took care of her, love blossomed in their hearts.
Long story short, they got married a year after that.
