The iconic landmark of Tours—Château de Villandry.
It was located in the central Loire Valley region of Tours, a large Renaissance castle. It stood at the top of a three-tiered garden, an ancient castle integrating beauty, change, and tranquility.
At this moment, at the very top of the castle, tens of meters above the ground, gusts of whistling wind continuously assaulted the area—the bone-chilling cold wind of a deep night.
Under the bright moonlight, two figures appeared on the pitch-black castle rooftop.
One wore an incredibly pitch-black gown, tattered and torn, barely able to cover private areas. It trembled continuously in the cold wind, looking as if it might be blown away at any moment.
The other, however, wore a pure white knight's uniform that covered every part of his body except his face, even his hands clad in white knight's gloves.
Just like their contrasting attire, the relationship between the two was also like that of sworn enemies. Yet, at this moment, they stood intimately together.
Lord of the Black Wing Gransurg and Lord of the White Wing Trhvmn—two of the three oldest Dead Apostle Kings—now stood shoulder to shoulder at the highest point of Château de Villandry, both gazing at the rolling waters of the Loire River not far away.
