As the head of the prestigious Archibald family, he knew of Zelretch, the Second Magic user, also known as the Kaleidoscope and the Wizard Marshall.
And Zelretch never hid his—advanced age. The youthful appearance of the man below immediately ruled out the possibility of him being the Wizard Marshall.

Seeing Diarmuid locked in a stalemate with Haru, unable to pull his blade free, Kayneth's face darkened. "That useless cur! I told him to give it his all! Is he holding back?!"
To Kayneth, a Servant's superiority over a human was a given. Diarmuid's struggle against Haru could only be deliberate.
