"I think I've seen this kind of report before..." Erica muttered, pressing her forehead in thought. She recalled seeing something similar in the Copper Black Cross's intelligence reports.
A god would appear in a certain location, and at the same time, there would be reports of the strongest King's presence. But often, contradictory reports would surface, claiming the strongest King was seen elsewhere. Because of these conflicting accounts, the Greenwich mages' council even nicknamed this King "The Elusive King."
"Wait, if you're here, then that means..." Erica gasped, realization dawning on her.
"That's right. A Heretic God has descended. In fact, two of them," Haru said, a playful glint in his eyes as he watched Erica's surprised reaction. The little girl who hadn't quite blossomed three years ago had now become a breathtaking beauty.
Erica immediately knelt on one knee, performing a knightly salute. "Although this is a presumptuous request, I implore you to intervene. The presence of two Heretic Gods is far too dangerous. If either of them were to attack Sardinia, the inhabitants wouldn't stand a chance... At the very least, please buy the civilians some time to evacuate."
"Well, well, the price for my intervention is quite high. But there are two gods here," Haru said, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the kneeling Erica.
'As expected, even the strongest King wouldn't want to face two gods at the same time. What should I do? Right, with the Holy Annihilator, I should be able to buy some time, creating an opportunity...' Erica pondered for a moment, then decided to gamble her life on the possibility that the strongest King could swiftly end the fight.
