Gustave stepped into Augustine’s office, his face dark with concern.

Augustine looked up immediately. "I was just about to call you," he said with urgency in his voice. "Any update on Oliver? And the officer from the original kidnapping case? Have you found anything?"

"No...we are still looking for the officer. But I’ve got news about Oliver." Gustave set a file down on the table. "But there is something more pressing, you are not going to like it."

He paused briefly. "Megan Granet met with the doctor who handled the paternity test."

Augustine’s eyes narrowed, instantly picking up on the implications.

"And that doctor," Gustave went on, "submitted his resignation just yesterday. Says he is moving abroad. His flight details are in the file." He nodded at the file. "It smells like tampering. I’m almost certain Megan manipulated the report."

Augustine flipped open the file, scanning through the documents with a calm but steely focus.

"And that’s not all," Gustave added grimly. "Nathan went to a private clinic to run the test again. The new report is due today. But Megan was seen outside the clinic early this morning. I think she is already making moves to interfere again."
