Chapter 59: Sugar Daddy!
Inside the hospital...
Lorie found her mother inside her father’s hospital room. "Mom, you won’t believe what I just saw."
Patricia, still fuming from her argument with Anne, shot her an irritated look. "What is it now?"
"That wretched girl, Anne—she is nothing but a gold-digger!" Lorie exclaimed, holding up her phone. "She has a sugar daddy. Look at this." She played the video she had recorded. "She acts all innocent, but in reality, she has been sleeping with a rich man for money. Now I finally understand how she managed to afford to keep Papa in such an expensive hospital."
"That shameless girl!" Patricia fumed, her anger flaring as she watched the footage. "She is nothing but a curse, always bringing trouble our way. And now, she is out to ruin the family’s reputation too. What am I supposed to do with her?" She slapped her forehead in frustration. "I regret the day your father took her in."
A cunning idea sparked in Lorie’s mind. "Mom, I know exactly how we can get rid of her."
Patricia’s curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"
"Don’t you remember Mr. Robert?" Lorie said with a sly smirk. "He was willing to pay five million for Anne. Why don’t we arrange her marriage with him?"
The thought of Anne being forced to marry an ugly, overweight, middle-aged widower with two children thrilled Lorie. The idea of seeing Anne trapped in a miserable marriage filled her with twisted satisfaction.
Patricia’s lips curled into a greedy grin, but as her gaze fell on her husband’s unconscious form, she hesitated. "But if she gets married, who will pay for your father’s medical expenses?"
Lorie cast a cold glance at her father. After a moment of silence, she said bluntly, "I don’t think he is ever waking up."
