Chapter 622: Are we going to take a stroll in the Arctic?
Although Xu Yisen has woken up, because he still needs to rest, Qin Muni insists that anyone wishing to visit him must make an appointment in advance.
Only after receiving personal permission from Qin Muni can someone be allowed into the ward. Because of this, there are quite a few directors within the company who are discontent and have tried to convey their dissatisfaction to Xu Yisen through Tang Haoliang.
Xu Yisen’s response to this was... if you’re dissatisfied with Munni’s arrangements, then simply don’t come.
With that one sentence, the directors were left with no choice but to comply.
Moreover, Qin Muni also stipulated that each visitor can only stay in Xu Yisen’s ward for a maximum of twenty minutes. If the time exceeds twenty minutes, the bodyguard will personally come in to ask the person to leave.
Because of this, not only the directors within the company, but even Xu Yisen’s friends and partners expressed some dissatisfaction.
Some even sent text messages to Xu Yisen with subtle complaints, to which Xu Yisen’s reply was simply... oh.
That cold response left everyone with no ground to continue complaining.
This day, after the bodyguards escorted out another visitor, Qin Muni came into Xu Yisen’s room and saw Xu Yisen sitting on the bed, browsing through a document in his hand, with a pile of files next to him.
Qin Muni walked up, unceremoniously pulled the document from Xu Yisen’s hand, and effortlessly took away the pile of files next to him as well.
"Chairman, you still need to rest and should not strain your brain too much."
Xu Yisen raised his head, watching Qin Muni carry the files to the sofa, and then toss them onto it with both hands.
Hearing the tone of Qin Muni’s words, Xu Yisen naturally picked up on her dissatisfaction. He couldn’t help but complain, "Lying in bed all day is really boring."
Because Xu Yisen had a complex fracture in his leg, it wasn’t convenient for him to get out of bed and walk around, so he spent most of his time lying down to rest.
As the days went by, he became unbearably bored, which is why he asked for some files to be brought to the ward.
Qin Muni walked to the window and drew the curtains open, letting sunlight through the glass window shine on her face with a warm and mesmerizing glow.
Upon hearing Xu Yisen’s complaint, she turned around and flashed a charming smile at Xu Yisen, who was sitting on the bed, "Shall I take you for a walk on the rooftop?"
The lazy winter sunlight poured through the window onto Qin Muni, casting a golden halo over her.
Against the light, Xu Yisen saw her slowly curl up her lips into a radiant smile, outshining even the glow that surrounded her.
Gazing at Qin Muni by the window, Xu Yisen unconsciously mimicked her smile, snapping out of his trance only after recalling her suggestion.
Subsequently, his smile grew even brighter as he nodded, "Sure."
Qin Muni understood that Xu Yisen hadn’t left the ward for days and must be feeling restless, so she thought it would be good to take him downstairs for some fresh air.
The weather in February was still very cold. Even though it was a sunny day, the chill was still biting. Concerned that Xu Yisen might catch a cold, Qin Muni dressed him in a turtleneck sweater, an overcoat, gloves, a scarf, a woolen hat, and snow boots.
With the help of the bodyguard, Xu Yisen was moved from the bed into a wheelchair, and Qin Muni draped a blanket over his lap.
His fully equipped appearance left even the bodyguard speechless.
Xu Yisen noticed the bodyguard’s restrained laughter and figured he looked pretty funny without needing a mirror, wrapped up like a dumpling.
He couldn’t help but jokingly ask, "Are we planning on taking a trip to the Arctic?"
