Chapter 345 - 351 Love on Track (8)
Mia Ginger hasn’t woken up.
"Lazy pig, sleeping so deeply." Windsor Myres frowned, tugged at her blanket and shook her twice.
Mia Ginger still didn’t wake up.
Windsor Myres paused, then leaned over the bed by stepping on her stool to take a look.
Mia Ginger’s half face was buried in the blanket, cheeks flushed, like she’d been drinking.
"Mia Ginger?"
Windsor Myres called again, reaching out to touch her forehead.
So hot!
Unbelievably hot!
She stood on the chair, suddenly nervous.
Turning around, she said, "Mina Lee, do you have a thermometer?"
"Nope." The others also awoke from her noise, Mina Lee answered drowsily.
"What’s wrong with Mia Ginger?" Tong Tong sat up with her blanket.
"She might have a fever," Windsor Myres climbed onto the bed, frowning, "but this isn’t right, a fever shouldn’t be this hot. She would’ve turned silly from the heat overnight."
While speaking, she helped Mia Ginger sit up.
Mia Ginger had her eyes closed, her cheeks red like apples, yet she was completely unconscious.
Not just her cheeks, her neck, arms, chest, back, her whole body was feverishly hot, her pale skin showing an unnaturally rosy hue.
Windsor Myres stared intently at her, finding her presenting an enchanting pure beauty, instinctively holding her breath to avoid disturbing her, while feeling a sense of fear, as if she suddenly had a serious illness, that she’d be gone in the blink of an eye.
She even cautiously stretched her hand over, checking her breath.
There was still breath.
Windsor Myres let out a long sigh of relief.
Calling Tong Tong from the bed, the two of them dressed her together.
Once dressed, she called Camden River, asking him to wait downstairs while she and Tong Tong helped Mia Ginger down.
Mia Ginger was very light.
Lighter than most girls.
The two of them supported her effortlessly, and soon arrived at the corridor entrance.
Camden River was already waiting there and paused momentarily when he saw Mia Ginger’s appearance.
"Fever?" he asked Windsor Myres.
"Probably a fever, but her fever is too intense." Windsor Myres said, reaching out to feel Mia Ginger’s forehead again, worriedly saying, "What should we do? The school infirmary isn’t open yet, should we go to the hospital?"
"Let’s check out the clinic outside first." Camden River spoke as he crouched down, glanced at her, and said, "Help her climb onto my back."
"Okay, okay." Windsor Myres and Tong Tong quickly followed suit.
Camden River stood up with Mia Ginger on his back, saying to Windsor Myres, "Let’s go."
"I’ll go with you." Tong Tong suddenly said.
"No need," Windsor Myres waved with a smile, "She’s so light, just the two of us can manage, you go back to catch more sleep."
Tong Tong forced a smile, "Okay."
Watching Windsor Myres hold Mia Ginger’s arm as she left with Camden River.
Lips quivered slightly with a light breath.
Hands hanging by his side couldn’t help but clench, then clench tighter.
After a moment, turned back upstairs.
——
Camden River walked a few steps with Mia Ginger on his back, instinctively glanced back.
"What’s up?" Windsor Myres asked him.
"Nothing, just thought she’s quite light, hardly any weight to her." Camden River was pensive, with a trace of tenderness in his voice.
Windsor Myres paused slightly, recalling the sensation on her fingertips last night.
She was a girl too, yet it was the first time she touched skin as soft and tender as Mia Ginger’s, privately thought, describing it with terms like icy skin and jade bones, or soft jade and warm fragrance, would be completely appropriate.
