Ding Ning used Chen Xin’s shortwave radio to contact the city bureau and inform them of Chen Xin’s speculations and concerns, feeling much more at ease.
Even though she didn’t know how much her warning could help, it was better than not warning at all, and it allowed her to have a clear conscience.
