Chapter 146 - 144 Psychological Counseling
The police car entered the shelter located in the First People’s Hospital through the original entrance of the hospital’s underground garage.
The injured were quickly taken for treatment, while Chen Xin was sent to a ward to rest, waiting for a specialized psychologist to come and provide him with psychological counseling.
"Ah Xin, don’t take this matter too seriously. Those three people I shot dead were thugs. They were robbing the injured at the time and even intended to attack her with a fire axe. Even if you were the one who shot and killed them, it would be considered self-defense and bravery, let alone that you just fired the shots, and I was the one who killed them," Qin Lan was accompanying Chen Xin, trying to comfort him.
However, at this moment, Chen Xin still appeared in a dazed state, as if he hadn’t fully come to his senses.
"Knock knock, excuse me, I’m the psychologist here to provide counseling. Officer, could you please step out for a moment?" A pleasant voice was heard at the door, and while it was sweet, it gave off a cool feeling.
Qin Lan turned to see a female doctor wearing glasses standing at the doorway, holding a patient’s file. Although she was in an ordinary white coat, it exuded a fashionable quality on her.
What particularly surprised Qin Lan was that despite the current extreme cold, this female doctor was still dressed in a shirt, short skirt, stockings, and high heels in an office lady style. Her long hair was pinned up with a hairpin, looking nothing like a doctor in a doomsday shelter, but more like a specialized doctor providing custom services in some private hospital before the disaster.
Qin Lan didn’t know why she thought this way, but she somehow felt there was an indescribable aura about her, not looking like a proper doctor.
However, she quickly dispelled this thought, said, "Thank you," to the doctor, and left the ward.
After watching Qin Lan leave, the female doctor finally closed the door, pulled the curtain, and sat by Chen Xin’s bed.
She took out a pen-shaped flashlight and flicked it twice at Chen Xin, checking his state. The expression on her face changed, and she reached up to remove the hairpin from her hair, letting her long hair fall.
The female doctor shook her hair while placing the patient’s file to one side, lazily saying to Chen Xin, "Alright, since you’ve already come around, stop pretending. Don’t you feel uncomfortable?"
"How did you know I was pretending?" Seeing the female doctor act this way, Chen Xin also snapped out of his daze, looking at this distinctive doctor: "Dior’s Poison, even in this environment, is there still someone using perfume?"
