Chapter 365: Qin Zi’s Provocation
"It’s you?!"
A fierce cold light shot from Luo Chentian’s eyes.
Others also sensed something was amiss. When they noticed the name on the Azure Sky Chart, they suddenly understood.
"Qin Zi??"
"He actually came!"
"This isn’t right. If he came to ask for forgiveness, why is he behaving so boldly? Could it be... he’s here to cause trouble?"
"Impossible, right? The Luo Family’s Young Master has several unfathomable experts by his side. Who would dare court death?"
The crowd exclaimed in shock.
Those who were initially tempted by the Azure Sky Chart suppressed their restlessness for the time being.
After all, with such a twist, no one could ignore it; otherwise, it would be disrespectful to the Luo Family’s Young Master.
"May I interpret your presence here as seeking forgiveness?"
Luo Chentian looked down at Qin Zi, speaking coldly.
"You may."
Qin Zi responded with a smile.
"Then why did you come alone? I remember instructing both you and your father to come and apologize."
Luo Chentian squinted slightly as he spoke.
"My father didn’t want to come, so he didn’t." Qin Zi shrugged, calmly saying.
"Is this how you apologize?"
Luo Chentian’s gaze was sharp.
"Who said I’m here to apologize?"
Qin Zi feigned surprise and then, with a hint of mockery in his eyes, said, "I only said you could understand it that way, but it doesn’t mean your understanding is correct, got it?"
"Are you mocking me?"
Luo Chentian’s face grew colder.
"What do you think?"
Qin Zi responded with an amused smile, asking in return.
"Insolent! A mere commoner dares to defy the Young Master—are you courting death?" A young man from the Luo Family scolded harshly.
"Such arrogance from the Luo Family!"
Qin Zi sneered fearlessly, "I don’t believe I did anything wrong. If that’s the case, why should I apologize?"
"Still daring to retort!"
A middle-aged man from the Luo Family snorted coldly, stepping forward as a terrifying divine pressure swept out.
However, Luo Chentian stopped him.
It seemed the Young Master of the Luo Family wanted to reason with people, or at least, under the public gaze, he did not wish to appear too domineering.
He stared at Qin Zi and asked, "Are you suggesting you did no wrong? Did you not kill my servant?"
"I did."
Qin Zi answered calmly, head held high.
"Killing someone isn’t wrong?"
Luo Chentian questioned.
"A mere servant with mediocre strength yet so arrogant—his death was deserved!"
Qin Zi said coldly.
"Deserved, you say? As a servant, indeed, he shouldn’t have been too arrogant, but to strike at the dog, consider the owner. You killed him directly. How does this put me, Luo Chentian, and my Divine King Race Luo Family?"
Luo Chentian rebuked.
"Ha, how does it put you?"
Qin Zi laughed coldly, countering:
"Then where does sending a dog to recruit my father and me, Qin Zi, place us?!"
"You’re just an upper-realm talent; by what right do you hold yourself above my father and me?"
"Based on your background? Pardon me, but without the Luo Family, you’re just a waste!"
Waste!
The sharp and resounding words left everyone around stunned, breaking out into cold sweat.
To call Luo Chentian a waste straight to his face—what audacity!
Luo Chentian was also stunned for a moment, then his face darkened entirely, and he said coldly, "I, Luo Chentian, have cultivated for over fifty years, and this is the first time anyone has spoken to me this way. Talking big is easy enough, but... do you have the means to back it up?"
Boom!
In the next moment, an overwhelming aura surged from him, divine light flooding the sky, and three majestic celestial phantoms appeared above him.
He is a Three Heavenly Layered Deity!
The gust stirred by that aura continuously blew toward Qin Zi, making his clothes flutter violently, his hair in disarray.
Yet, he remained composed and dismissive, saying:
"What? You want to suppress me with your cultivation? Only a waste would rely on cultivation to overpower others. If under equal conditions, your cultivation is higher than mine, I would accept it. But you grew up in the resource-rich upper realm, while I honed myself in the declining wilderness of the Xuanhuang Sky. Does comparing cultivation even mean anything?"
"A true genius disregards cultivation and competes only in combat prowess. If you want me to concede, you must defeat me at the same level!"
Luo Chentian retracted his aura.
He stabilized his emotions and said blandly, "Whether you concede or not, what does it matter to me? Squashing an ant doesn’t require its concession."
"If that’s how it is, then go ahead!"
Qin Zi raised his head, fearlessly opening his arms, as if welcoming death.
He was fearless!
But Luo Chentian frowned—if it were private, he could easily crush this person, but, now, under the public gaze, if he truly did that... it wouldn’t sound good.
Perhaps troublemakers would say he was afraid to fight on equal terms, so he relied on cultivation to silence.
This would inevitably tarnish his reputation.
"Ha, a crude taunt. Do you think I’ll suppress my cultivation to fight you?"
Ultimately, Luo Chentian sneered, "Not to mention if you deserve my effort, but even if I did beat you, what would it mean? Do I, Luo Chentian, need to prove anything by defeating you?"
He was supremely arrogant.
As he said, he needed no validation because his mere presence was radiant enough!
"In the end, you’re just afraid."
Qin Zi scoffed dismissively.
"Utter foolishness!"
Luo Chentian snorted, then looked at a young man behind him—a green-haired youth.
Seeing Luo Chentian’s gaze, the man immediately understood and stepped forward. He looked contemptuously at Qin Zi, coldly saying:
"A mere ant daring to challenge the Young Master—how arrogant, yet... still unqualified! Let me suppress you!"
With that, he charged forward.
"Boom!"
His body erupted in blazing flames, resembling a great fireball suddenly igniting, crashing toward Qin Zi.
"Do you think I’m afraid?"
Qin Zi snorted and charged forward too. This person was of the Jasper Pool realm, while he, after being baptized by the Azure Sky Chart, also broke through to the Jasper Pool realm. His physique and bloodline underwent another transformation under the vast auspices of fortune and energy, so he feared no direct clash.
"Bang!!"
With a loud boom, a large burst of sparks flew, and a scarlet pillar shot into the sky, disappearing in an instant.
In the next moment, the green-haired youth flew backward in disarray, his clothes tattered, his body full of bloodstains, seeming about to shatter!
"How could this happen?!"
He exclaimed in terror, feeling Qin Zi’s strength from that collision, a kind of overwhelming force, seemingly insurmountable.
"Too weak."
Qin Zi scoffed, then charged like a bull, that enormous momentum nearly suffocating.
"Three Thousand Green Silks!"
The green-haired youth yelled, his hair growing rapidly, spreading out in the sky, enveloping Qin Zi like a green prairie.
"Useless trickery!"
Qin Zi paid no heed, charging directly, cutting through the vast green hair, turning them to dust.
"Pff!"
A muffled sound, his clothes exploded, spewing blood, then he fell stiffly.
And Qin Zi, with his right foot on the unconscious green-haired youth, looked up at Luo Chentian, playfully saying, "So this is the Divine King Race, no big deal."
