Chapter 419: Noodles accident.
Jingzhe walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. His warmth encircled her fully, like a shield that was keeping more than just the wind away.
"We will figure it out Mei Mei." He assured her. "When I left, your mother’s trusted men were already working on Mo Liang. By the time we return, she will know what that secret is."
She nodded. Her facial expression changed into one of mischief as a brilliant idea crossed her mind. "Maybe we should put the peepstar on the job."
Jingzhe sniggered. The peepstar was the best at digging up secrets and scandals. Truly, if they put the paparazzo on the job, they would get the answers they wanted. The problem was that they would get those answers at the same time as the rest of the world. The paparazzo would no doubt blast it everywhere.
But, that was not the only problem Jingzhe foresaw. His face darkened and he said, "That is not a good idea. Inviting someone that thrives on gossip into our life will make them think they have a clear pass to dig even in places where they should not be looking.
One minute they will uncover Long Bo’s dirt and the next, they will find my fake jelly fish or something else. Your mother has done this job for more than three decades. We should have more faith in her than a paparazzo."
Mei Mei agreed. She had bee thinking short term, not long term. But then, another mischievous idea crossed her mind. "Or we send Lele in."
Jingzhe was stunned. Had she really suggested that they send a giant python in to find out what secret Mo Liang was hiding? Much as it was an effective method of getting Mo Liang to spill his secret, it was really out of the box.
"I am definitely going to send Lele to prison to pay him a visit whether he spills his secret or not." Mei Mei said with determination.
She thought she was done torturing her ex husband but suddenly discovered that there was still more in her. "Let’s sit down for a while."
He moved back and shrugged off his coat before laying it down for her. Both of them squeezed on it, right next to Noodles growing collection of sea food.
Mei Mei had not come with a bag but she had the space and Jingzhe had seen her using it a time or two. Never once did her ask a question.
