Chapter 382: The art teacher/father.
The incident Muyang was talking about and Mei Mei hated to think about was one from the tender age of six. At school, there was a ribbon dancing contest and every little girl was required to come up with a dance.
Mei Mei learned her routine from Chi Lian and the two were sure that she would win first place. Instead, she came in third!!!
The teachers said her dance was "inventive" and this was because it was not smooth but athletic.
Mei Mei had not been too pleased when the crown was placed on Chen Zhilan’s head. She had thrown herself to the ground, screamed and cried demanding that the crown and big ribbon meant for the winner be given to her.
Chen Zhilan showed more gracefulness by taking off her crown and handing it to Mei Mei.
All the parents went "awwww" and everyone applauded Zhilan while Mei Mei received the frowns and judgemental glances.
That incident was a dark cloud on Mei Mei’s white history which was mostly beautiful. If she could, she would go back into the past and erase it from existence.
"I told you that third place sucks, it destroys common sense as well." She muttered.
Muyang sighed. "Third place is not as bad as you make it out to be Mei Mei. Many people that are not ranked at all would prefer to come in third. And the last place winner never feels good, no matter how dramatic their loss is. Only you would prefer last place to second or third."
"Because I am unique." she spread her arms out, smiling naughtily.
