Chapter 269: I like being a villain.
Mo Ai bit her lower lip. Of course she was worried about her fate. she would be dead not to be worried. Her biggest worry was that she would be living on the street by the time all her problems were handled. When she thought about it, she wondered if prison was a better fate for her.
"Meilin," Grandpa Mo intervened, "What do you want?"
"From you, nothing." She answered, "There is absolutely nothing that any of you Mo’s can give to me to make me forget what you did to me over the years. The grudge between us is bigger than a mountain."
Mei Mei looked at the old man that was wearing a custom made suit--holding a luxury wooden cane with a green jade inlaid on the side. He loved to dress and act like the chairman of some large enterprise. There was a time when she had to fund his lavish lifestyle.
She clearly recalled how many times she had gone to him with her problems, hoping that he would be the one to talk sense back into Mo Liang. All those times, she left with empty promises and a bill to pay for his latest purchases.
And she could not forget the expensive tea leaves! Grandpa Mo did not drink the cheap stuff, his palate had become refined after the Mo’s made it. He only drunk expensive tea and he expected her to stock Juan tea leaves Da Hong Pao, rock mountain and other expensive tea leaves, local and exotic.
Mei Mei scoffed. Suddenly she started to wonder if she had made a mistake not offering him tea. She should have offered him hot water with the cheapest tea leaves she could find. That ought to teach him.
Assistant Han walked into the office with a tray that had two cups. She took it straight to Mei Mei’s desk and placed the cups down. "Boss, this is one of Juan tea’s new milk tea. Your aunt Sally insisted that I send it to you."
The scent of the tea wafted through the office. Grandpa Mo gulped. What he wouldn’t give for a sip?
"Buy some and send it home for my dog and cats." Mei Mei said.
