Chapter 249: Artifical jellyfish and Tang Yue’s departure.
Jingzhe unveiled his gift for Mei Mei with a hopeful shimmer in his eyes that she would be as thrilled to receive it as he was to give it.
Mei Mei covered her mouth with her palm when she saw the gift. Two jellyfish!! She slapped herself softly on the cheek, thinking that perhaps she was sleeping and this was all a dream. First, a leech and now jellyfish!
Who had lied to everyone that there was some kind of pet festival at her house?
"Genius, right?" Jingzhe said as she sidled next to her. "At first, I thought it would be slippery to create artificial jellyfish that are lifelike and I thought that it would take me a week to accomplish but once I figured out the material to use, ionic pumps, glass fibers, bio-resin, microscopic sensors, pigments...."
"A Zhe, stop." Mei Mei placed her hand on his mouth and stood up after she was sure that he would not say anything else. But she could see it in his eyes that he wanted to talk and she wanted to get her curiosity out of the way. "So, these are not real jellyfish."
He nodded.
"I don’t have to feed them or worry about them dying from neglect, giving Mingzhu allergies or being eaten by the other pets in the house." She asked.
He nodded.
Mei Mei looked at the jelly fish again, both beautifully blue, swimming like they were real. "Why did you.....?" She shook her head. There were millions of jellyfish in the sea, why create artificial ones?
Jingzhe was very nervous. Didn’t she like them?
