You are expected to balance a crown even when you are running, eat without revealing your teeth and curtsy like a silk ribbon caught in a gentle wind.
I will send a teacher from the palace to teach you all of these things and I will have a word with your mother about neglecting your education." The Empress Mother finished by tousling Mingzhu’s hair. "Good girl, you are brave for trying even when you knew nothing and not surrendering even when it was difficult."
Mingzhu grinned.
As the Empress Mother stepped away, the little girl was surrounded and hugged by her excited cousins. Mingzhu did not even notice that she was crying happy tears.
