It was a weird day for a lot of people in the empire. Perhaps this was because they had read today’s paper yesterday. Or maybe it was because the fact that the minister had been trying to buy sperm was shared by the capital daily in their 7 a.m news. Suddenly the corruption scandal tasted a little different.
All people wanted to know was how much the minister had paid. Still, this did not prevent the Imperial Supervisory Commission [ISC], from invading the offices of the minister and collecting everything in his office. From staples to computers, everything was taken away.
Only chairs and desks were left behind. Even those were overturned and inspected. A white plush couch in his office had been mutilated. All of the cotton had been pulled out as the inspectors searched for non existent evidence.
The pictures of the chair had been leaked and netizens had actually managed to get #RIP white couch to trend. It was 9 a.m and the news on every station was reporting the scandal.
"It is not even a corruption scandal anymore, he did not bribe anyone or receive a bribe. All he did was pay for sperm." Mei Mei laughed and she lowered the tv volume.
She rotated her chair slowly and faced three of her employees that were working on the plan to choose a mascots for the camp. As the first person to make the proposal, Wu Qing was there along with two men, He Zhenyu and Lin Jianwei.
Lin Jianwei had a degree but he had failed to find a job for two years after graduating so he registered on a government job seekers website and six months later, he ended up at the camp.
He Zhenyu had a masters of fine arts in graphic design. He had been a manager at an animation studio but he was kicked out when the studio owner’s son returned from France. He had also registered on the website. After one year of unemployment and doing part time jobs, he had ended up at the camp.
Mei Mei had chosen them to be part of the mascots teams because she wanted to push the camp mascots. They could shoot short animated dramas, prepare events and promote the camp to the fullest. Maybe someday their mascots could have a world famous cartoon regularly shown on television.
