Chapter 116: Long Bo’s long hands.
Long Bo’s order was ignored by the soldiers and royal agents alike. Mingzhe’s orders on the other hand were not. While everyone’s heart was thrumming intensely from all the unexpected excitement, two imperial soldiers jumped dramatically on He Yuan, knocking over Long Bo as they arrested his bodyguard. He was not just knocked over, he was kicked in the shin and it was deliberate.
"Jun Mingzhe!!" Long Bo gutturalized the name like a an angry animal.
Mingzhe stood up and faced the emperor, inclining his head politely. "I apologize for my actions your highness."
Junjie waved the apology away. "You told me that you would be making an arrest of someone close to me tonight so I was prepared for some theatrics. I just didn’t expect you to fire a weapon."
Those around them were surprised. This was a planned arrest!! Why did it have to be done in their presence and why had a gun been fired? Professor Jack was certain that his blood pressure was through the roof.
"He touched his gun and I was afraid that he would attempt to take you hostage to weasel his way out." Mingzhe said in a cold voice.
"I saw it." Ringo confirmed.
He Yuan was put on his feet but he was struggling, fighting against the soldiers. One of them elbowed him in the ribs ruthlessly, making him hunch over, groaning in pain.
Long Bo heaved angrily, "Jun Mingzhe what do you mean by this? Why are you arresting my guard?" He looked Emperor Junjie, "Why are you watching this happen? Your majesty, even if you favor the Jun family..."
