Chapter 78: Tea with a princess special...[2]
In the flying car, which was heading to The Hollow, Mei Mei did not miss a single second of the show. Jingzhe was hand feeding her popcorn while she enjoyed the beans being spilled.
Mrs. Xu had come with many pictures of Tang Yue. "Back then, her name was not Tang Yue, it was Ma Biyue. One day, an expensive car came to the neighborhood and the visitors visited the Ma’s. Two days later, they packed up and left Sea city without telling anyone where they were going.
We only found out after six years that they had been recognized by a wealthy relative and moved to the capital. All the children were no longer going by their paternal surname Ma but maternal surname Tang." she sneered, making her disapproval obvious.
"Wow, so they packed and run in the night like thieves." Rize gushed.
Mrs. Xu nodded. "They even left debts behind. Ma Pencheng owed my husband two hundred yuan that he has never paid back to date. They even took one jar of honey, one pair of chopsticks, two cups.... " Mrs. Xu unfolded one of the papers she had brought to read off all the things that Tang Yue’s family had taken which did not belong to them.
Some people snickered when Mrs. Xu mentioned a kilogram of beans and some dried fish.
"When my son brought home Tang Yue as his girlfriend I was very angry. What kind of good girl can be raised by a family that does not pay back small debts? When I brought it up with her parents they denied it all and called me a liar and uneducated, uncivilized woman." Mrs. Xu huffed.
Rize encouraged Mrs. Xu to take a sip of tea. The older woman drunk the entire cup and asked for more. She was making the audience laugh with her authentic behaviors. Many people were finding her relatable to their wives, mothers or grandmothers.
Show assistants and employees of Phoenix Tv passed around disposable cups of the sweet dark berry tea and muffins to those that wanted.
Rize meanwhile exposed a new picture of the trio on a screen behind the stage. In this picture, they were teenagers and Tang Yue was holding the arms of both boys, smiling broadly at the camera. "So, we found evidence that the relationship between Tang Yue, Mo Liang and your son Caleb Xu was complicated. It seems to me like there was a love triangle which formed in their teenage years. When Jun Meilin was added to it, it became a rectangle."
Specific places in the picture were highlighted. Tang Yue was holding onto Caleb Xu’s arm but her fingers were interlocked with Mo Liang’s.
"Body language speaks volumes. From this picture, our psychology expert has determined that the relationship between Tang Yue and Mo Liang was more intimate than the one between her and your son. Can you tell us more about what happened when these three met again and how she came to become your daughter-in-law?"
