Chapter 37: The best schools want her.
Ignoring Mo Liang’s unwelcome arrival, Mei Mei and Jingzhe took all of her property and school documents then left school grounds. When they flew away, Mo Liang was signing autographs with a stupid grin on his face.
By the time they arrived home, it felt as if the day had been very long. Like one week had been stuffed into one day altogether.
"Sir, madam, you are back." The butler welcomed them at the door warmly with a smile. It was as if he was welcoming back a couple. The butler looked at Mingzhu who had fallen asleep in Jingzhe’s arms. "Is the little miss alright, we all heard about the fight and we have been very worried."
Indeed the servants were worried, many of them were already waiting in the hallway, anxiety written all over their faces.
"Mmm, madam is tired and she has not eaten since breakfast. Bring her something to eat." Jingzhe told the servants.
While those responsible for the meals hurried away, Feng Qi was ready to retrieve Mingzhu from Mei Mei’s arms. She had also invited a doctor to take a look at her grand baby.
"How bad is it?" she asked with a tremor in her voice.
"It is worse for the boy." Mei Mei answered.
"Bad." Jingzhe replied. "Mingzhu has scratch marks on her face, a few strands of her hair were pulled out and she has a wound on her hand. Hurry, come and take a look." He sat down slowly, not wanting to jostle Mingzhu awake. "Be gentle, don’t wake her up."
