Chapter 25: Mei Mei’s dog.
Mei-Mei stared down at the former great love of her life, now her worst enemy in the world, her own husband Mo Liang. As she gave him the coldest look she had given anyone in her life she wondered if the words shame existed in his dictionary. It was one thing to weasel your way into the house of your wife that you intended to divorce and another to bring your mistress and bastard child into that house to seek shelter.
After ending the call with the emperor, she had told security to let them in because she realized this divorce would not be a walk in the park. It was better to have Mo Liang under her thumb for a while as she destroyed him little by little rather than to have him out there getting help from powerful sources. Mingzhu had to be protected at all costs.
So, she welcomed them, not into her home but a hell in which they would burn and repent of their sins.
"Mo Liang, what brings you to my house?" She asked, slowly walking down the stairs, taking her time as if she was in no hurry.
Behind her, Mingzhu mimicked Mei-Mei’s new walking style, an arrogant cat walk. While Mei-Mei walked effortlessly, Mingzhu wobbled like a young chick that was just learning to walk but she did not give up. Unintentionally, she ruined her mothers powerful entrance because Feng Qi and the rest of the servants that were peeking were trying hard not to laugh.
Mo Liang was momentarily speechless in the meantime, Mei-Mei’s new look was a surprise to him. She was not the pale ugly skeleton that had picked him up from the airport but a beautiful woman.
Next to Mo Liang, Tang Yue experienced a sense of crisis, warning bells were going off in her mind like a startled flock of geese honking and flapping in chaotic unison. "Why is this bitch looking beautiful again?" she asked herself. The more Mo Liang stared at Mei Mei, the more uncomfortable she became.
She shoved Mo Hao forward and the child grabbed onto his fathers leg.
"Daddy, I am hungry."
