Chapter 20: An obsessive love.
Feng Qi was very much aware of her sons love for Jun Meilin. To call it love was to put it simply, it was an obsessive love, the kind that was all consuming. Her son was like a baby bird that had imprinted on Jun Meilin and no other woman in the world could be compared to her.
In fact, in Mo Jingzhe's eyes, outside his mother, Jun Meilin was the only woman in the world, the others might as well be men.
When he was younger, Feng Qi had always worried that Jingzhe's love was unhealthy and it could lead him down a deadly path but he managed his feelings positively. He had not killed Mo Liang, not even when he saw the suffering Mei-Mei had been put through.
Feng Qi had never been comfortable with the one sided love. Like every mother, she hoped her son would fall in love and have children, raise a happy family. She also knew Jun Meilin was older than Jingzhe and married to his half brother so she hoped Jingzhe would outgrow his feelings but it never happened. Somehow, Jingzhe's feelings for Mei-Mei intensified the older her grew.
So, Feng Qi had switched from hoping Jingzhe would have a change of heart to hoping Jun Meilin would get a divorce.
"Is she finally getting a divorce?" She gripped Jingzhe's arm tightly, her eyes looking into his eagerly.
Mo Jingzhe nodded excitedly. "Yes, she is divorcing. Not only is she divorcing but she is taking Mingzhu. Mingzhu is already calling me dad."
Feng Qi let go of her son's arm and she broke into a high pitched scream that startled some of the servants. It had been a while since they last saw the madam this excited.
"I am getting a grandchild." she turned around and announced to the servants.
