Chapter 16: Too late.
Two hours after Mei-Mei checked out of the hospital, Mo Liang showed up outside the VIP room where she had been, with flowers in his hands. He had waited until all the bodyguards of the Jun family withdrew before daring to approach.
Mo Liang was sure that he could coax Mei-Mei with a few words and one kiss as long as nobody was around, especially her relatives that looked down on him. He was not enthusiastic about kissing her.
He would much rather have kissed a dead fish than Mei-Mei, she had become so unattractive that the thought of touching her aroused a desire in him to barf.
As his hand started to slide the door open, Yue showed up. "Ayang, I brought flowers too. I won't start any trouble, I promise that I am just here to apologize. I will explain to sister Mei-Mei that what happened between us was an accident and beg her to forgive you. Mei-Mei loves you, she will forgive you immediately."
Mo Liang's smiled in a cocky way, "It's true. she loves me. She cannot live without me, I don't even need to bring flowers to coax her."
He looked around for a dustbin and threw the flowers away. Then, opened the door and walked inside with arrogance flashing in his eyes. Yue followed him, malice flashing in hers.
On entering the room, they found it empty. A robot butler was cleaning up under the supervision of a female cleaner.
Yue saw the hospital ID tag for a patient in the open mouth of a robot vacuum cleaner that was waiting for more rubbish. She also saw the name Jun Meilin before turning away from it. "Mmm, Ayang, sister Mei-Mei is not here. Have we come to the wrong room?"
"Where is my wife?" Mo Liang asked the human female cleaner.
