Chapter 37: The Communicator
Ma Feng woke up in his dormitory, waking up to the smell coming from the kitchen. Ma Feng slowly opened his dimmed eyes as he licked his watery lips. He turned to see Xi Jing seated on a chair.
"Xi Jing?" Ma Feng called out.
"Oh Ma Feng, you’re awake already... You fell asleep and were rushed back into the dormitory. You’ve been asleep for three days now. How are you feeling?" Xi Jing asked, a bright smile showing broadly on his face.
"I’ve been asleep for three straight days? And besides, what’s that delicious smell coming from the kitchen?" Ma Feng asked while pointing in the kitchen’s direction—just as Rose walked out.
Dressed in pink pajamas, she carried a tray with delicious food in pots. Ma Feng widened his gaze in shock. His mouth was already too watery as he licked his lips continuously.
"Brother Ma Feng, you’re awake already... I cooked you a delicious delicacy—fried ramen with lots of chicken inside. I hope you like it," Rose said as she slowly dropped the tray on the bed. Ma Feng nodded.
"Oh my gosh... The aroma is so delicious," Ma Feng said as he grabbed a pot from the tray. He sat down on the bed, crossed his legs, and began rushing the food. Xi Jing wasn’t really hungry.
Rose’s bright smile showed she was satisfied seeing Ma Feng enjoy her delicacy. Ma Feng was still rushing the food when a knock was heard at the door and Romeo walked into the room.
"Hey guys," Romeo called out with a smile on his face.
"Oh Ma Feng, you’re awake already... I was quite worried since you were asleep for three days. Even your proctor was kinda worried. It was fearsome," Romeo said while staring at Ma Feng, who continued to eat.
"Yeah, yeah, I guess so. So tell me... how’s the gang?" Ma Feng asked as he slowly raised his head to stare at Romeo. Romeo had a cute face and an innocent look but quite deadly powers—although it may seem ordinary to the rest of the world.
