Chapter 2: Reincarnation
"Wake up, you damned bastard,"
The voice of the Janitor was heard when Ma Feng was kicked out of his bed. It was already dawn, and Ma Feng had a nice sleep without any pain or sorrow like he had always faced every night. He felt relieved.
Ma Feng groaned as his face crashed to the ground. He rolled over to see the Janitor standing before him. Behind the Janitor were six muscularly built men clenching their fists while staring down at Ma Feng.
They didn't waste time when they grabbed Ma Feng without hesitation and slammed him hard against the wall. Ma Feng felt sharp pains in his stomach as he was heavily punched across it.
They tossed Ma Feng to the ground, where he rolled while wincing in pain.
"Thanks for your help, boys. This little bastard doesn't learn when to be awake. After all... he is dying today," the Janitor stated, and they all laughed out loud. Ma Feng smiled calmly, remembering that he would be dying today.
Ma Feng slowly got up from the ground and slowly left the ward. With blood gushing out of his nose, he stumbled and crashed to the ground again. An uproar of laughter filled the air afterward.
"It's quite satisfying that I won't be witnessing this again. I wish I could die now," Ma Feng said.
He got up from the ground and took a deep breath. He was dressed in his hospital white gown, and the two days left had now become less than twenty-four hours. He could feel his cells dying.
Ma Feng quietly left the hallway, moving in a calm manner. The nurses and patients who saw him on his way out all hissed at him. Ma Feng didn't pay them any attention since he was already used to it.
He continued to move until he got struck by a mop stick. He turned to see three boys standing before him. Ma Feng slowly stood up from the ground when the first boy struck him with his knee.
