Eva couldn’t finish the sentence, her gaze dropping to the ground, a subtle heat rising in her cheeks at the memory of their past rituals—the way his hands had squeezed her breasts, the warmth of his face between her thighs.
Lor shrugged, keeping his tone casual, nonthreatening.
"Then maybe don’t ask that. Maybe ask the Light to make me smart enough to finish the homework faster."
Eva raised a brow, her green eyes narrowing in curiosity.
"But... how would that work? The Guide doesn’t help you, right? It guides others. How can it make you smarter?"
He glanced down, fiddling with the hem of his uniform shirt, his voice dropping low as if sharing a forbidden secret.
"Sometimes... it can possess me. Take over. Use its power through my body to complete the task."
Eva’s eyes widened, her breath catching audibly.
"Wait, it can do that?" Her body leaned in slightly, unconsciously, her curves accentuated by the way her arms crossed under her chest, pushing her breasts up just enough to draw a fleeting, hidden glance from Lor.
Lor gave a subtle nod, his tone humble, almost self-deprecating.
"Yeah. I never mentioned it before. No one ever asks anything for me, anyway. I mean... why would they?"
