"Forget it, let’s not talk about these things anymore, they’re just upsetting, making us sound like gossipy women." Lin Chan waved his hand to change the subject first, turned to look at He Zhilan, smiled and said, "Zhilan, recently, quite a few employees from our two companies are dating. I’m practically their matchmaker, I guess by the second half of the year, I’ll be too busy attending their weddings! Are you free tomorrow? Do you want to visit your company and check things out?"
He Zhilan nodded, "Since I’m here, I might as well go." Though, there were not many matters concerning her in the company. Lin Chan would help her with important decisions, and any documents that required her authorization and signature would regularly be sent to the city for her to review and sign.
He Teng originally planned to accompany He Zhilan to Lanteng Company the next day, but unexpectedly, someone came to find him at the hotel that same night, informing him of a very important meeting at the local brigade the next day.
So, plans cannot keep up with changes; the next morning, He Teng went to the meeting with others, while He Zhilan and Lin Chan went to Lanteng Company together.
Lin Chan also had his own company affairs to deal with, so after dropping He Zhilan off, he only stayed in Lanteng Company for five minutes before leaving.
Although the employees hadn’t seen He Zhilan for a while, they did not feel distant from her. They asked about her health before returning to their workstations.
After staying in the company for over an hour and handling some documents, He Zhilan left with her bag and arranged to meet a university professor for tea.
