He Teng had just taken a shower and opened the door still in his bath towel when he heard a knock. He greeted He Zhilan only to see her cheerily making herself at home in his room. She sauntered around, emulating his usual demeanor, before turning her gaze back to him.

"Aren’t you going to get dressed first?" He Zhilan teased, her face a mix of amusement and mild disbelief, "If you’re planning on strutting around in front of me like this, I really don’t mind. Even if you’re shirtless, I won’t object."

He Zhilan’s words struck He Teng like a bolt from the blue. He glanced at her before retreating into the bathroom and closing the door. Looking at himself in the mirror, he noticed droplets still clinging to his upper body. His regular workout regime had sculpted his body, yielding defined abs with each contour catching Zhilan’s keen eyes.

He Teng rubbed his temples, his head throbbing slightly. He Zhilan’s comments were becoming increasingly audacious, or perhaps she was just becoming less restrained around him.

After dressing and stepping out of the bathroom, He Teng had to look around before spotting He Zhilan playfully hiding behind the curtains. The tips of her plump toes, rhythmically tapping the floor, were peeking out from under the curtain.

He strode over and yanked the curtain open before shoving a towel in He Zhilan’s face. "Wipe your hair and go back to your room."

"How did you find me?" He Zhilan thought that she had hidden quite well and had wondered if He Teng would go looking for her. To her surprise, He Teng had walked over and pulled the curtain back, covering her face with a towel.

He Teng didn’t answer, just gave her a look as if she was a fool. He then pulled the frozen figure away from the window, pointing at her feet.
