Lin Chan’s warehouse was not directly rented as a structure. Instead, he rented a plot of land and built a simple warehouse on it. It was divided into two parts: one side for smaller volumes of expensive items like electronics, and the other for fabric.
Since the factory had just started production, only a small amount could be shipped over to the capital. Therefore, what Lin Chan left in the warehouse in the capital was primarily for customers in the capital.
"Why is there so much scrap fabric over there?" He Zhilan asked as soon as she entered, noticing a pile of fabric scraps in one corner of the warehouse.
"They were dumped here by a clothing factory owner who’s a friend of mine. He has this clothing factory which generates a lot of fabric scraps like these. He doesn’t know what to do with them and doesn’t have space to stash them, so he figured he’d dump them here since we had space. The clothes that were made for you were made by their tailors, their craftsmanship is quite good, right?" Lin Chan replied, leading He Zhilan further into the warehouse, "Take a look, how do you find the products from my factory?"
He Zhilan smiled, "Why are you asking a layperson like me? I don’t have the expertise to discern the craftsmanship or value, I just appreciate the designs. So, don’t ask me these technical things. I can just tell you that the designs look impressive."
After scanning the warehouse, He Zhilan’s gaze repeatedly returned to the pile of fabric scraps. Since they were offcuts from a clothing factory, the pile had all sorts of materials.
Lin Chan noticed that He Zhilan seemed captivated by the fabric scraps and asked, puzzled, "Do you find that pile of rubbish more appealing than my goods? If it piles up for too long, the waste collectors will come to take it away. Isn’t that just a pile of waste?"
