Upon seeing the two women, Lin Chan was displeased. "What’s the need for a private talk? Whatever it is, just say it."
When He Zhilan saw who was standing at the doorway, she defiantly turned her head away and refused to look at them or reply, leaving it unclear whether she agreed or disagreed with their request.
"He, I know you must be in great pain right now. However, we believe that there are certain matters which are better discussed privately." Gu’s mother said while glancing at the frail girl lying on the bed, a pang of guilt striking her. If it weren’t for Gu En’s actions, this girl wouldn’t be suffering like this.
