Stars In His Eyes

Ding Jinshi was startled by the sudden appearance of He Zhilan, but she merely stepped back reflexively. After recognizing who it was, she heaved a sigh of relief, continually patting her chest. Perhaps she was afraid that she might startle someone else, she didn’t make a single sound from beginning to end.

"You?" Ding Jinshi relaxed upon seeing it was He Zhilan. However, she didn’t say much, just looked towards the front cautiously. Her motions made He Zhilan puzzled, following her gaze to see what was going on.

At glance, He Zhilan understood. Less than three meters away, Lan Li was leisurely strolling.

"Since you’re here, why don’t you go over to greet him?" He Zhilan asked puzzlingly, "Didn’t you come to the hospital specifically to see him?" After a pause, He Zhilan added, "Lan Li has looked over here, he’s seen you now. Are you going over?"

He Zhilan’s words startled Ding Jinshi like a frightened bird. She quickly turned back to look at Lan Li. He Zhilan stood aside, watching Lan Li not far from her.

Apparently, Lan Li noticed Ding Jinshi, causing his expression to shift slightly. He even started walking towards them, but for some reason, he stopped abruptly after two steps and just stood there, motionlessly observing Ding Jinshi.

"What’s the point of chasing after him if he won’t come over?" Ding Jinshi said suddenly, with a self-mocking laugh. She looked away and unexpectedly, turned around and left.

Ding Jinshi walked quickly, almost as if she was running away. By the time He Zhilan snapped out of it, she was already more than ten meters away.
