"What did you say?" He Zhilan couldn’t catch what Gu En said because she spoke so quietly. But when she asked, Gu En just stared at her and lay back down without answering.

Seeing Gu En finally keeping quiet, Huang Cai chimed in, "Shall we wash the pen holder and use it as a vase? It’d be a shame to let the flowers wilt."

"So He Zhilan, did you accept Zhou’s confession? Are you guys together now?" Wang Bingbing asked enviously, "How romantic."

He Zhilan shook her head, "No, I only accepted the flowers as a friend."

Jiang Biyun and Chen Xiting exchanged a glance. They figured as much, knowing that He Zhilan was already married.

Gu En heard this and huffed again, sarcastically saying, "He Zhilan, you really don’t know what’s good for you. You’re not satisfied with someone like Zhou Hongjin? What kind of man are you looking for?"

"Whether He Zhilan is satisfied or not has nothing to do with it, okay? We’re only freshmen; it’s not really appropriate for us to be in a relationship at school. Besides, the school has strict rules about it. If we were caught, we would certainly be punished!" Chen Xiting defended, not needing to bring up He Zhilan’s marital status as a reason to counter Gu En’s words.

Chen Xiting swore she had never met someone as displeasing as Gu En!
