Claiming the Throne of Gods, Starting from the Rebirth of Nezha

Chapter 264: Slaying Yao Heavenly Monarch

Heading deep into enemy territory, yet reaching the place where Jiang Ziya’s soul is stored, this place seems calm but is, in reality, extremely dangerous.

Nezha was well aware of this; he came here to take the enemy by surprise, but he also knew that underestimating the enemy, who was already prepared, might very well lead to his own doom.

Originally, if it hadn’t been for him, Jiang Ziya’s soul would have been captured by Heavenly Monarch Yao, drifting aimlessly to Kunlun Mountain, where he would have been found by Nanji Immortal.

Upon learning of this, the Nanji Immortal captured the last wisp of the soul and tried to seek Yuanshi Tianzun’s help, but before he could even enter, he encountered his junior disciple, Chi Jingzi.

This Chi Jingzi was one of the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect. Even though he was only at the Taiyi Golden Immortal Early Stage, his steady cultivation was unparalleled, a true great power of the Chan Sect.

After Nanji Immortal told Chi Jingzi about it, Chi Jingzi felt there was no need to trouble the sect leader, so he took the gourd and headed to the Chengtang battlefield himself.

He shone with five-colored immortal light, stepping on a lotus with hemp shoes, heading straight into the Ten Extremes Formation, where he was met with a sky filled with dark energy, the disruption of yin and yang, killing intent piercing through the heavens, and ghostly cries echoing endlessly.

Chi Jingzi observed and saw that within the Soul Falling Array, Heavenly Monarch Yao Bin was there, his hair disheveled, holding a sword, and performing a ritual at the Thunder Gate.

He tried to seize the grass figure on the platform but was spotted by Yao Bin, who grabbed a handful of black sand from beneath his feet and threw it upwards. This black sand was not ordinary but the Red Sand Formation laid by Heavenly Monarch Zhang.

Within this formation, the heavens, earth, and humans were divided, hiding three dou of red sand. It looked like red sand but felt like sharp blades when hitting the body.
