Chapter 78: The Great Powers Gather!
"Cough, cough cough."
As the dust cleared, Deng Chanyu covered her mouth and nose with one hand and walked forward, casting a doubtful glance at Nezha then reached out to touch the iron gate towering like a city wall. With a determined heart, she side-stepped and slammed into it.
"Ouch! That hurts!"
Deng Chanyu clutched her shoulder, tears brimming in her eyes from the pain, but the massive gate remained unmoved.
She asked incredulously, "How did you manage to do it?"
"Just naturally strong."
Nezha poked his head inside and saw that it wasn’t as pitch-black as he expected; rather, due to the opening of the gate, fresh air flowed in, causing the flames on the large lamps along both sides of the great hall to flicker, casting dancing shadows.
"Is there someone inside lighting lamps? But no matter what living creature is inside, I think it’s best not to go in."
Feeling the decaying scent in the air, Nezha frowned slightly. Deng Chanyu, although courageous, nodded calmly, "It looks rather eerie inside."
Yet at that moment, the blood-red sky overhead stirred up waves of ripples, and the light cast shadows on the black sand beneath their feet, causing both to involuntarily look up.
